Caribbean Perfection | The BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival
The BVI Spring Regatta is the one Caribbean Regatta that has something for everyone who attends. Whether you race, cruise, practice or just come to party, we have it all! Race & Cruise your way through the BVI. The weeklong BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival takes you throughout the beautiful British Virgin Islands. Starting at Nanny Cay, the Sailing Festival will kick off with The Round Tortola Race, followed by a relaxed Island Race and Thursday is a Maritime Heritage/ Layday at Nanny Cay. After the warm up, the BVI Spring Regatta kicks off three days of some of the best racing in the Caribbean. Only the best survive to take home the Gold and the Glory, along with great stories and experiences that keep sailors coming back year after year. You can participate in all five races of the BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival, be it part or all of the Festival, or the three-day Regatta. With a huge choice of shore side accommodations and activities there’s no need to leave your loved ones at home.

The BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival kicks off on Monday evening with the registration and welcome party for the Sailing Festival at Nanny Cay Marina.

Tuesday, April 1
BVI Sailing Festival | Round Tortola Race
A Spectacular sail around the largest of the BVIslands. Start off of Nanny Cay and head around to sail the North side in the Atlantic Ocean, round Beef Island into the Sir Francis Channel and back up to Nanny Cay. Should the winds change, we’ll go the other way! The Nanny Cay Challenge is also up for grabs to beat the best time around the island.

Wednesday, April 2
BVI Sailing Festival | Caribbean Insurer Island Invitational
A full day of fun in the sun! Race to an outer island with over 50 competing boats. The finish line is just the beginning of a day at the beach, with a BBQ, Bar and aquatic events the whole team and family can enjoy. Shuttle boats for visitors will be provided for all to join in the fun.

BVI Spring Regatta | Maritime Heritage Day Annual Mount Gay Welcome Party
Today is a full day celebrating the Maritime Heritage of the British Virgin Islands. There will be a Tortola Sloop Spring Challenge starting at 10AM where you can watch these beautiful 100 year old sloops in action. There will be a display explaining the history of the sloops with a wonderful book available for purchase.
At 3:30PM the Queen’s Baton will enter the Regatta Village on one of the historic Tortola Sloops to be carried through the village as part of the Queen’s representation of the territory and the 20th Commonwealth Games.
There are many activities available, but you can also choose to just relax by the pool or under a shady palm tree!
Registration starts at noon for the BVI Spring Regatta with live music and the Mount Gay Rum Welcome Party to kick off the 2014 Regatta in style.

BVI Spring Regatta | Stellar Racing Action!
Three days of world-class racing action and sand-between-the-toes partying under the stars at the Regatta Village on the beach at Nanny Cay Marina. Nightly footage from the day’s events will be broadcast in the village. While the competitors are battling it out on the water, friends and family can watch all the action live at the village and online.

International Yacht Club Challenge | IYCC during Spring Regatta
The IYCC brings sailors from around the world to race on Sunsail monohulls. This sleek fast, well appointed fleet will bring team’s top racing experience and a chance to win a week charter from Sunsail.
BVI Spring Regatta | Party Central
The Regatta Village will be in full swing with five international food vendors, stalls with regatta merchandise, or a place to buy those needed gloves or sunglasses that fell overboard. Afternoon and nightly entertainment will keep everybody upbeat and in the mood to party until the next day of racing.

BVI Spring Regatta | Prize Giving
Sunday at 5:30 (Caribbean time)
It all comes down to the final hour when the stage is filled with the joyful and exhausted winners to collect their spoils. It’s one big party NOT to be missed!

Winding through our scenic islands, Bare Boats, Multihulls, Cruisers and Classics sail one to two races per day.
BVISR • COURSES | SOL Course Area
Windward/leeward’s and around rocks and islands courses are set for Racing and Racer/Cruiser divisions. It’s a “Sailors Workout” with up to five races a day.

Professional Race management to ensure best courses for each class.
