Regattas in the Tropics, LLC RUMOR is “Custom One-off” 1982 Frers 45 masthead sloop. Built by innovative California builder, Carl Eichenlaub and reported to be the first carbon/Kevlar/epoxy vacuum bagged race boat of this size. She has runners, checks, big three speed winches, a 7 ½ foot diameter steering wheel, carbon pole and brand new sails designed by Tim Woodhouse for us. Set up with a racing main and new delivery main, Hood #4, #3 jibs on hanks and various Hood kites, and new running rigging. We will enter the Spinnaker or the Cruiser/Racer Class Non spinnaker depending on the crew's experience. Captain is a very experienced racer and extremely well mannered.
